Job summary

Grade Potential in the United States is seeking tutors to provide weekly, in-person academic support to students across coursework, exams prep, or skill-building. You set your availability and work directly with local students, choosing sessions that fit your schedule.

Travel is limited to your preferred local radius (typically 5-10 miles). You’ll communicate progress to parents as needed and earn $20-$40 per hour, depending on location, experience and subject area.

Grade Potential is looking for tutors to provide weekly, in-person academic support to students working through current coursework, preparing for exams, or strengthening foundational skills.

  • Provide one-on-one, in person tutoring to local students
  • Support students from elementary through high school, college, and all ages
  • Choose the students and sessions that fit your schedule
  • Communicate with parents on student progress as needed
  • Travel only within your preferred local radius (typically 5-10 miles)
About the Opportunity

Tutors who choose to engage in our network benefit from working directly with local students in person. You set your availability, use your preferred teaching style, and own all aspects of how you do work. We'll handle the logistics and reach out with tutoring opportunities that match your preferences, and you decide which ones you want to accept.

Pay Range

$20 - $40 per hour (dependent on location, experience, expertise)

Qualifications
  • Educators, recent college graduates, and postgraduates
  • Prior tutoring, teaching, or coaching experience
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Looking for flexible, part-time opportunities in the Clinton area
  • Comfortable with in-person connection and local travel
Subjects

Tutor in the subjects you know best. Most tutors specialize in one or two areas, but you can list as many as you're qualified for.

  • Math: Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Calculus, Geometry, Statistics
  • ELA: Phonemic Awareness, Reading, Vocabulary, Fluency, Literary Analysis
  • Science: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth & Space Science, Integrated Science
  • Foreign Language: Spanish, French, German, Italian, Latin, Mandarin
  • Social Studies: World History, US History, Government & Civics, Economics
  • Test Prep: SAT, ACT, PSAT, ISEE, SSAT, GRE, GMAT, AP Exams
Grade Level Experience

We support students at every stage, from foundational skills through college-level coursework.

  • Elementary School (K-5): Reading, phonics, elementary math, spelling
  • Middle School (6-8): Pre-algebra, Algebra 1, life & earth science, world history
  • High School (9-12): Algebra 2, geometry, pre-calculus, biology, physics
  • College: Calculus, statistics, college algebra, chemistry, essay writing, GRE/GMAT
