Prep Academy Tutors of North & West Cook County in Oak Park, IL is seeking passionate, knowledgeable, and reliable tutors to join our team. You will work one-on-one with students to support academic success across a range of subjects, tailoring your approach to fit individual learning styles.

We hire certified educators and subject matter experts who can design customized tutoring sessions, provide remediation or enrichment, and report progress to parents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or in progress with related teaching license.
• Illinois teaching certificate or equivalent preferred.
• At least 2 years’ teaching experience in private/public/charter settings.
• Experience as lecturer or course instructor in U.S. colleges a plus.
• Graduate studies (MS/PhD) with teaching assistant experience advantageous.

Responsabilités

Job Summary

We are seeking passionate, knowledgeable, and reliable tutors to join our Illinois team. You will work one-on-one with students to support their academic success across a range of subjects, tailoring your approach to fit individual learning styles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide academic support based on expertise and alignment with the Illinois curriculum standards.


• Design and deliver customized tutoring sessions in a variety of subjects.


• Offer remedial or enrichment instruction based on each student’s needs.


• Assign supplemental materials to enhance understanding and retention.


• Maintain open communication with parents/guardians to report on student progress and goals.

Qualifications & Skills

We are looking for certified educators, subject matter experts (e.g., engineers, graduate students), and soon-to-be teachers who meet the following criteria:

Requirements

All applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree and meet at least one of the following:

• Hold a valid Illinois State teaching certificate (or equivalent from another state).


• Currently enrolled in a teacher certification program.


• Have 2+ years of experience teaching in a private, public, or charter school.


• Have experience as a lecturer or course instructor at an accredited U.S. college or university.


• Are a Master’s or PhD student with experience as a teaching assistant at a U.S. university or college.
