Job summary

OU Health in Oklahoma City seeks a Staff Hepatologist with transplant hepatology experience for an academic appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The role focuses on advanced liver disease care, transplant evaluation, and participation in multidisciplinary transplant services.

The position includes teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, contributing to research and quality improvement, and sharing in on-call coverage within a collaborative transplant hepatology

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board certified in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology fellowship.
• Eligible for appointment at Assistant or Associate Professor.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of patients with advanced liver disease, including pre- and post-liver transplant care.
• Participate in liver transplant candidate evaluation and ongoing management.
• Collaborate with transplant surgeons, anesthesiologists, coordinators and other transplant team members.
• Participate in inpatient and outpatient hepatology clinics and on-call duties.
• Engage in teaching, scholarly activity and quality improvement initiatives.
