Job summary

City of Hope Atlanta (Newnan, GA) seeks a Board Certified or Eligible Thoracic Surgeon to join our physician team, combining cutting-edge cancer care with compassionate patient service.

Newnan offers a short drive to Atlanta with a 50-bed cancer hospital featuring new ORs and Davinci 5 robotic technology, EPIC EMR, and a collaborative multidisciplinary environment. City of Hope offers a faculty appointment with rank commensurate to experience.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required.
• Fellowship in Thoracic Surgery required.
• Board-Certified or Eligible in Surgery and Thoracic Surgery.
• Must obtain Georgia medical licensure or be eligible.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical work 4 to 4.5 days per week (clinic and OR).
• Develop an expanding referral base in thoracic surgery.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, APPs, and nurses.
• Maintain excellent surgical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• City of Hope faculty appointment with rank commensurate to experience.
• Experience with EPIC EMR.
