Job summary

University of Utah in Salt Lake City seeks a BC/BE AP or AP/CP pathologist with fellowship training in Renal Pathology to join the Department of Pathology, in collaboration with ARUP Laboratories. Responsibilities include interpreting native and transplant kidney biopsies and participating in nephrology and transplant conferences.

The successful candidate will engage in education, research, and scholarly activities within an integrated academic pathology environment.

Qualifications

  • Fellowship in renal pathology required.
  • BC/BE AP or AP/CP board certification is required.
  • Experience with native and transplant kidney biopsies preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret native and transplant kidney biopsies.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary nephrology and transplant conferences.
  • Educate residents and fellows and participate in scholarly activities.
  • Collaborate with ARUP Laboratories on consultations and referrals.

Academic Renal Pathologist, University of Utah & ARUP Laboratories

The Department of Pathology at the University of Utah Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine and ARUP Laboratories seeks a BC/BE AP or AP/CP pathologist with fellowship training in Renal Pathology. Responsibilities include interpretation of native and transplant kidney biopsies, multidisciplinary nephrology and transplant conferences, resident and fellow education, and scholarly activities. The successful candidate will join a nationally recognized academic pathology department integrated with ARUP Laboratories, a leading national reference laboratory that provides specialized testing and pathology consultation services to healthcare institutions throughout the United States and internationally. Additional subspecialty expertise or interests will also be considered, provided they align with the needs of the department. Faculty benefit from an academic practice model that combines clinical service, education, research, and access to a large and diverse subspecialty consultation caseload.
