Job summary

The Associate Director of Academics for Touro University's Graduate Program in Speech-Language Pathology reports to the Chair/Director and will assist in all aspects of the Master's degree program, including planning, development, scheduling, communication, staffing, oversight, innovation, and special projects, as determined by the Department Chair.

Touro's Speech-Language Pathology program is approved by the New York State Education Department and is an ASHA certified, 58 credit Master's degree

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent.
• CCC-SLP certification and NYS license required.
• At least 3 years of experience post-CF.
• Administrative experience in an academic/clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview and recommend faculty and staff hires.
• Develop and maintain communications (website, brochures, bulletins).
• Develop semester calendars and class schedules.
• Attend departmental and university meetings.
• Coordinate admissions, faculty review, advisement, and certifying graduation requirements.
• Prepare departmental reports and surveys, including accreditation.
• Explore external grant opportunities and respond to funding opportunities.
• Oversee administrative staff and supervise graduate assistants.
• Teach courses as needed.
