Qualifications

• Board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation or board-eligible within two years of residency.
• Unrestricted Texas medical license or ability to obtain before appointment.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary academic environment.
• Excellent teaching and scholarly track record.
• Innovative self-starter focused on clinical care and scholarship.
• Strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as clinical content expert on adult neurorehabilitation.
• Participate in planning and growth of a new neurorehabilitation program and clinics.
• Manage care for patients with peripheral neuromuscular, spinal cord, and brain injuries.
• Develop partnerships with referring physicians, hospitals, and providers in Austin and Central Texas.
• Assist in data infrastructure to assess clinical quality and cost outcomes.
• Contribute to Undergraduate and Graduate Medical Education curricula.
• Train and mentor medical students and residents.
• Foster scientific and academic inquiry within the multidisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with UT Austin schools on value-based care models.
