Responsibilities

• Refer patients to specialists and relevant care components.
• Train and supervise medical students and residents in specialty activities.
• May manage daily operations of a medical program or unit.
• Direct and coordinate patient care activities of nursing and support staff.
• Follow departmental policies, safety and infection control standards.
• Participate in health promotion and prevention programs as applicable.
• Maintain department productivity thresholds and faculty status.
