Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine is seeking a physician to join the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases in the Pediatrics Department. The role emphasizes providing inpatient and outpatient clinical care for children, teaching medical students and residents, and engaging in translational and outcomes research within an academic medical center.

Qualifications

Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Infectious Diseases.
Experience with clinical care of patients.
Experience in an academic medical center.
Commitment to fostering an environment of respect and civility for diverse faculty, staff and students.

Responsibilities

Inpatient and outpatient consultation for children with suspected infections or complex cases.
Phone, telehealth and e-consult consultations for clinicians.
Review and monitor antibiotic, antiviral, or antifungal therapies and drug toxicities.
Collaborate on epidemiologic issues in healthcare settings and the community.
Contribute to specialized outpatient clinics and non-HIV outpatient programs.
Take on administrative duties associated with this role.
