Job summary

University of Virginia Health's Children's Heart Center in Charlottesville seeks physicians to join the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care team as the CICU expands. Candidates must be board certified/eligible in Pediatric Cardiology or Pediatric Critical Care, with Cardiac Intensive Care training or equivalent; dual board certification is preferred.

Ample opportunity exists for academic achievement with potential appointments at Assistant or Associate Professor level.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent and board certified/eligible in either Pediatric Cardiology or Pediatric Critical Care, with additional Cardiac Intensive Care training or equivalent experience.
• Preference will be given to those who are dually boarded.
• A pre-employment health and drug screening will be required.

Responsibilities

• Join the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care team to care for neonatal and pediatric patients.
• Contribute to the expansion of the 29-bed CICU opening in 2028.
• Engage in academic activities and potential appointment as Assistant/Associate Professor.
• Collaborate with cardiology, critical care fellows, and APP team for patient care.
