Job summary

Albany Medical College's Department of Anesthesiology seeks fellowship-trained pediatric anesthesiologists at all ranks to join six faculty in an academically focused environment in the Capital Region.

Responsibilities include perioperative pediatric care in diverse settings, teaching residents and students, pursuing clinical research, collaborating with surgeons and perioperative staff, and mentoring junior faculty. NY licensure and ABA board eligibility/certification required.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree or equivalent.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology residency.
• Fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesiology required.
• Eligible for New York State medical licensure.
• Board-eligible or board-certified by the ABA.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for infants, children, and adolescents in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Deliver didactic and hands-on instruction for residents, medical students, and student nurse anesthetists.
• Participate in or initiate clinical research projects; scholarly activity is supported and encouraged.
• Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other perioperative team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide guidance and support for trainees and junior faculty in professional and academic growth.
