Qualifications

• MD, DO or equivalent and eligible for a full, unrestricted California Medical License.
• Eligible for certification by ABA in Anesthesiology and Pediatric Anesthesiology.
• Graduate from an ACGME‑approved residency program and ACGME‑approved pediatric anesthesiology fellowship; experience in cardiac, general, regional and ambulatory anesthesia and pain management for pediatric and neonate patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for pediatric and neonate patients undergoing routine and complex procedures in the UC Davis Children’s Hospital operating rooms, cardiology catheterization labs and radiology suites.
• Participate in the after-hours call system; pediatric cardiac anesthesia during call hours and weekends as needed.
• Educate medical students, residents, fellows and allied health professionals in all areas of general, ambulatory, and regional anesthesiology for pediatric patients.
• Occasionally provide anesthesia services to adult patients; activities may include solo faculty duties.
• Engage in scholarly or creative activities deriving from clinical teaching and service responsibilities.
