Job summary

Highmark Health in Pittsburgh seeks a board-eligible or board-certified pathologist (AP/CP) to provide sub-specialized clinical service across major hospital sites and contribute to a thriving teaching environment.

You will participate in an ACGME-accredited residency program and may pursue academic appointments at Drexel University College of Medicine for clinical and translational research.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required or equivalent.
• Board eligible or board certified in Anatomic or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
• Fellowship or experience in Hematopathology preferred.
• Pennsylvania Medical License required.

Responsibilities

• Provide partially sub-specialized clinical service at Allegheny General Hospital and/or West Penn Hospital, handling ~43,000 surgical pathology and ~30,000 cytology accessions.
• Participate in teaching in the ACGME-accredited AP/CP Residency Program.
• Eligible for academic appointments at Drexel University College of Medicine for clinical and translational research.

Education

MD or DO degree

Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anatomic or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology

A fellowship or experience in Hematopathology preferred
