Albany Medical College is seeking a full-time Academic Nephrologist (Assistant or Associate Professor) to join the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension. The role offers the full scope of nephrology within an academically rich environment and opportunities to teach medical students, residents, and fellows.

The position emphasizes clinical care across inpatient, outpatient, and transplant settings, with potential involvement in clinical and translational research and a collaborative care model

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent with board certification or eligibility in nephrology.
• Commitment to medical education and mentorship.
• Interest or experience in clinical research is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient consult and teaching services.
• Participation in renal transplant services.
• Outpatient hemodialysis patient care.
• Hypertension referral clinic.
• Comprehensive chronic kidney disease outpatient program.
