About the Role

University Health Physicians (UHP), an academic group practice affiliated with the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine (UMKC SOM), seeks Internal Medicine–Pediatrics (Med-Peds) faculty for primary care positions, including ambulatory-only or combined ambulatory + inpatient practice in a safety-net academic medical center.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality primary care to patients in the community.
• Teach and supervise residents, fellows, and medical students as part of the UMKC SOM graduate medical education program.
• Engage in academic activities, including research, scholarly projects, curriculum development, and quality improvement initiatives.
• For the Associate Program Director position, support the Med-Peds residency’s educational mission with leadership in recruitment, longitudinal QI curriculum, ITE remediation & coaching, and board-preparation curriculum.
• Participate in the inclusive and supportive academic environment, supporting professional growth.
