The Division of Hematology and Oncology at the University of Missouri (MU) School of Medicine is seeking a dedicated thoracic oncologist to join our expanding team at Ellis Fischel Cancer Center. We are looking for an academic physician with a passion for advancing the care of patients with lung and thoracic malignancies through clinical excellence, research, and education.
Focus on Lung Cancer: Step into a role with immediate access to a robust lung cancer patient population and the opportunity to lead and expand thoracic oncology services. Clinical Trials & Research: Partner with colleagues across MU’s academic health system to design, lead, and participate in cutting-edge clinical trials. Protected research time, seed funding opportunities, and access to translational research collaborators are available. Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate closely with thoracic surgeons, radiation oncologists, pulmonologists, and pathologists in dedicated tumor boards and multispecialty clinics, ensuring comprehensive patient care. Academic Environment: Contribute to the education of fellows, residents, and medical students within a department that supports all major subspecialty fellowship programs. Institutional Support: MU Health Care includes six hospitals and more than 50 specialty clinics, providing a broad referral base and the infrastructure for clinical and research growth.
