Job summary

The University of Miami Medical Group (UMMG) Department of Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine seeks a Staff Physician to provide exceptional care for adults in a primary care clinic. This role offers opportunity to contribute to education, research, and patient-centered care.

You will deliver comprehensive care, participate in scholarly activities, and support quality improvement initiatives across UHealth ambulatory locations.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency or internship.
• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine.
• Eligibility for unrestricted Florida medical licensure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care in a primary care clinic for a multicultural adult population.
• Engage in scholarly activities, clinical research, teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Participate in quality improvement and system-wide initiatives; provide institutional service.
• May maintain outpatient practice at UHealth ambulatory locations.
• Manage a schedule of 9 half-day sessions per week.
• Potential involvement in inpatient care at Jackson Memorial Hospital and ambulatory resident clinic.

Education

MD or DO degree with completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency

American Board Certification (or eligibility) in Internal Medicine

Eligible for unrestricted Florida medical licensure

BLS certification

ACLS certification (if applicable)

Valid DEA licensure
