The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is seeking an Academic Hourly for the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory in the College of Veterinary Medicine. The role involves assisting with aerobic culture, MIC and Kirby-Bauer testing, and Leptospira testing in the microbiology section.
Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in life sciences and at least one year of bench experience. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree and clinical microbiology experience.

This is a 100% full-time Academic Hourly position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 10/14/2026. The budgeted hourly salary range for the position is $25.00 to $27.00. Final salary offered will be determined by a thorough assessment of available market data, internal salary equity, candidate experience and qualifications, collective bargaining agreements, and budget constraints. This position is not eligible for any type of sponsorship for work authorization.
