Qualifications

• Provides and manages direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care for a specified patient population.
• Trains and supervises medical students and residents engaged in specialty activities and procedures.
• Adheres to core physician obligations and institutional policies.

Responsibilities

• Provides and manages direct patient care, including examinations, evaluations, diagnoses and treatments.
• Prescribes pharmaceuticals and therapies as appropriate to conditions.
• Refer patients to specialists and relevant care components as needed.
• Trains and supervises medical students and residents in specialty activities.
• Manage daily operations of a medical program, unit, or research function.
• Coordinate patient care activities of nursing and support staff.
