Job summary

Grinnell College's Biology Department seeks a Greenhouse Manager to oversee the care of cultivated plants used in the curriculum in the Noyce Science Center. The role includes managing greenhouse facilities and coordinating with Facilities Management for repairs and maintenance.

The position is 12-month, benefit-eligible, totaling 1,560 hours per year, with full-time hours during the academic year and reduced hours in summer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a life science field from a four-year college or university.
• 6 months or more employment experience involving skills related to plant care.
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work with students in a supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities
