Job summary

University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center seeks a Gastroenterology physician to contribute to high-quality patient care within an academic framework.

The appointment level can be Clinical Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or full Professor, commensurate with experience. Primary duties include direct patient care, supervision of medical students, and participation in teaching and research activities.

Qualifications

• Doctorate Degree (MD or DO) with an unrestricted license is required.
• Appointment with Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine at an appropriate level based on experience is required.
• Fellowship training in some specialty is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and manage direct patient care including examinations, evaluations, diagnoses and treatments.
• Prescribe medications and treatment regimens as appropriate.
• Refer patients to specialists and care components as needed.
• Train and supervise medical students and residents.
• Maintain department productivity and adhere to policies and quality standards.
