Job summary

City of Hope in Duarte, CA seeks an Academic Gastrointestinal Pathologist to join our renowned Department of Pathology. The role focuses on diagnostic excellence in digestive cancers, collaboration within a multidisciplinary team, and advancing translational research in GI malignancies.

The faculty are expected to contribute to teaching and mentorship of fellows, residents, and students, while participating in scholarly activities and education as part of a leading cancer center.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent medical degree required and California license eligible or in good standing.
• Academic record suitable for Assistant/Associate Professor track.
• Fellowship in gastrointestinal pathology highly preferred; subspecialty experience appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic pathology services for diseases of the digestive system.
• Join a multidisciplinary team of physicians and scientists in Southern California.
• Utilize digital pathology to provide GI pathology expertise across the COH network.
• Develop and support translational and clinical research in GI cancers.
• Participate in training fellows in ACGME-accredited programs.
