Job summary

University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine in Tyler, TX seeks a Faculty Geriatric Psychiatrist to provide care for elderly patients, including those with dementia and depression. The role involves inpatient (10-bed) and residential (30-bed) settings, medication management, and a multidisciplinary care plan with collaboration across teams.

Option for fully inpatient or a 50/50 inpatient/outpatient arrangement, with Epic EMR and supervisory duties for psychiatry residents.

Qualifications

• Provide psychiatric care for elderly patients in inpatient and residential settings.
• Manage medications and develop holistic care plans with a multidisciplinary team.
• Supervise psychiatry residents and mentor trainees.
• Lead case conferences and contribute to complex geriatric cases.
• Participate in a shared on-call rotation.
