Job summary

Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) seeks a generalist-intensivist for the Critical Care Activation and Adult Anesthesiology teams. The role combines OR anesthesia with CCAT critical care, including tele-ICU rounds, in a high-volume, academic setting.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in medicine and completion of residency in Anesthesiology.
• Fellowship in Critical Care required or preferred.
• Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology and Anesthesiology Critical Care is required.
• Ideal candidates will have interest and expertise in research/scholarship/discovery.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services in the operating room and in procedural locations (ambulatory and non-OR sites).
• Participate in medical direction of nurse anesthetists and resident supervision; provide independent anesthesia care.
• Provide critical care through the CCAT, including tele-ICU rounds and support to Code Blue/Rapid Response teams.
• Contribute to teaching of learners and trainees; deliver lectures and mentoring.
• Attend team meetings and engage in quality improvement activities.
