Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency Program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible In Pediatrics.
• Eligible for or possession of an unrestricted Alabama medical license.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain.
• Commitment to excellence in patient care and medical education.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine wellness examinations and developmental screenings in outpatient settings.
• Diagnose and treat a variety of acute and chronic childhood illnesses.
• Provide immunizations according to CDC guidelines.
• Counsel patients and families on nutrition, growth, and development.
• Coordinate care with pediatric specialists and healthcare teams.
• Educate residents and medical students in outpatient pediatrics.
• Contribute to academic, quality improvement, and scholarly initiatives.
