Job summary

AMN Healthcare seeks a General Anesthesiologist for an academic position in Portland, Oregon. The role offers a dynamic mix of complex cases across neuro, vascular, thoracic, spine, ambulatory, interventional radiology, OB, trauma, neuro-radiology, and cardiac cath lab.

Expect about 90% clinical work with 10% dedicated to academic activities, medical direction of CRNAs, and opportunities for teaching and scholarly research if desired.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Oregon and must be board-eligible or certified in Anesthesiology.
• Medical degree required.

Responsibilities

• Provide general anesthesia across a broad case mix including neuro, vascular, thoracic, spine, ambulatory, interventional radiology, OB, trauma, neuro-radiology, and cardiac cath lab.
• Supervise CRNAs with a 1:3–1:4 ratio.
• Teach and mentor trainees and support staff in their area of expertise.
• Engage in scholarly research if desired and participate in departmental activities.
• Collaborate with OHSU and non-university groups as appropriate and, if desired, participate in department or hospital administration.
