Job summary

OU Health in Oklahoma City seeks to recruit a Gastroenterologist at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to join the Division of Gastroenterology. The role focuses on general GI care with opportunities to develop IBD or motility specialties within a premier academic center.

The position emphasizes outpatient care, endoscopic procedures, and teaching of trainees, fellows, and students in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology required.
• Oklahoma medical license or ability to obtain license required.
• Faculty appointments through OU College of Medicine; rank commensurate with experience.
• Board certification in the specialty within the eligibility timeframe is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of general GI disorders, including esophageal to hepatobiliary conditions.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures per guidelines.
• participate in outpatient clinics delivering patient-centered care; collaborate with multidisciplinary team.
• Develop a focused clinical practice in IBD or motility when applicable, supporting the GI division.
