Job summary

The University of Louisville Physicians seeks a General Gastroenterologist to join the Division of Gastroenterology at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. The role combines clinical GI care, teaching, and research, including NIH grants and two NIH Center grants.

The successful candidate will see inpatients and outpatients, perform endoscopy, and participate in clinical trials with an emphasis on education and academic advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience in general GI and endoscopy (colonoscopy, EGD).
• Involvement in clinical research and NIH-related projects.
• Ability to teach fellows, residents and students.

Responsibilities

• Teach and mentor fellows, residents, and students.
• Contribute to service expansion within the division.
• Care for inpatients and outpatients with GI illnesses; perform endoscopy.
• Participate in clinical trials and NIH-funded research.

Job Description Summary

The Division of Gastroenterology at the University of Louisville School of Medicine is seeking a General Gastroenterologist to join a division engaged in diverse clinical and academic practice, research, including multiple NIH grants, and two NIH Center grants.

Position Responsibilities

• Teaching Will interact with the Division Director and fellowship program director to assist with inpatient and outpatient training of our fellows. Will participate in educational lectures and seminars, inpatient and outpatient training of our fellows, residents and students.
• Service Will interact with the division chief and faculty for continued expansion of the program.
• Clinical Ideal candidate will see inpatients and outpatients with various general GI illnesses, have experience in colonoscopy and upper endoscopy, as well as experience in functional GI disorders.
• Research Opportunity to participate in clinical trials.
