Job summary

Houston Methodist Primary Care Group in Sugar Land seeks a board-certified Family Medicine physician to supervise residents in the resident Primary Care Clinic and to serve as Core Faculty for the family medicine residency program. Qualifications

• Board-certified in Family Medicine with eligibility for Texas medical licensure.
• Minimum of three years of experience in graduate medical education and ambulatory teaching.
• Strong track record in teaching in ambulatory care and resident mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Supervise residents as attending/faculty in the residency continuity clinic.
• Provide direct patient care in the Family Medicine Clinic.
• Assist in developing, directing, and managing the Family Medicine residency program.
• Maintain an educational environment aligned with ACGME competencies.
• Lead and participate in rounds, journal clubs, and conferences.
• Serve as a role model and mentor for residents.
• Engage in scholarly activity and quality improvement projects with residents.
• Protected administrative time supports educational leadership, program development, and scholarly activity.
• Collaborate with Houston Methodist Academic Institute and medical school affiliates on curriculum and committees.
