The Opportunity

TalkingPoints is seeking an experienced, operationally minded elementary educator to lead the development and continuous improvement of engaging, family-friendly Pre-K-5 literacy and math content. This role will partner with district customers to understand their needs, manage contractors who support content creation and review, and build scalable systems that improve operational efficiency while maintaining high-quality content for educators and families.

This is a temporary, full-time, 12-month position reporting to the Product team.

In this role, you will
Develop High-Quality Academic Content
  • Develop literacy and math activities aligned to curriculum pacing that schools can share with families throughout the year.
  • Ensure content is developmentally appropriate, academically sound, accessible to families, and engaging for children.
  • Partner with the Product team to design interactive games and other learning experiences for use at home.
Support Partner Onboarding and Curriculum Alignment
  • Collaborate with the Partner Success team to onboard new district partners and gather curriculum resources, including scope and sequences and pacing guides.
  • Translate district curriculum materials into clear content-development and alignment plans.
  • Represent TalkingPoints as an academic content expert in presentations and meetings with district partners.
Build Scalable Content Operations
  • Develop systems for prioritizing, producing, reviewing, tagging, and maintaining academic content.
  • Establish quality standards and review processes that support consistency across grades, subjects, and district partners.
  • Use AI thoughtfully to improve the efficiency and quality of content development, tagging, curriculum alignment, and refinement.
  • Track content-development progress and identify opportunities to improve workflows and the partner experience.
Manage Seasonal Content Contractors
  • Help recruit, hire, onboard, and train seasonal contractors who support academic content development and review.
  • Assign and prioritize contractor work based on partner needs and content-development goals.
  • Set ambitious but achievable production and quality goals.
  • Review contractor work, provide actionable feedback, and ensure content meets TalkingPoints’s standards.
Who You Are

  • You are comfortable using AI and other tools to streamline workflows.
  • You are proactive, self-directed, and able to identify operational challenges, propose solutions, and drive implementation across teams.
  • Experience with U.S.-based K-12 education systems
  • Experience in or empathy with communities we serve (e.g., underserved populations, education, immigration, bilingual and/or multicultural environments)

This role is a temporary 12-month full-time position. The base pay for this role is $80,000. The actual base compensation may vary depending on factors such as experience, location, market conditions, education/training, and skill level, and does not include bonuses, other forms of compensation, or benefits.
