Job summary

The Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine seeks a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist to join our eye care team at Wilmer Bethesda in Bethesda, MD. Practice independently while collaborating with a world-renowned team of ophthalmologists and subspecialists in an outpatient academic setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited residency training program in Ophthalmology and board certification or board eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive ophthalmic care in an academic outpatient setting.
• Evaluate and treat patients for general ophthalmology needs, including prescribing optical prescriptions.
• Diagnose and manage anterior and posterior segment pathology such as uveitis, cataracts, glaucoma, and corneal disease.
• Perform cataract surgery and other general ophthalmology procedures within scope of practice.
• Collaborate with subspecialists in retina, cornea, glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmology, and oculoplastic.
• Contribute to outpatient uveitis and comprehensive ophthalmology services development at the Bethesda clinic.
