Job summary

GOAL High School in Colorado is seeking an Academic Coach to engage students in-person and online, collaborate with teachers and site staff to promote student success, and provide outreach and support services to identified students.

The role requires facilitating access to accommodations, monitoring MTSS, and maintaining a safe, inclusive learning environment while working closely with families and the GOAL Social Emotional Team.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reside in Colorado.
  • Education: high school diploma or equivalent; an Associate degree or 48 credit hours; Praxis or WorkKeys test.
  • Experience with youth or in a school setting is preferred; bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Engage students in-person and online, collaborating with teachers and site staff to promote student success.
  • Provide outreach and support services, respond to identified students, and ensure goals are achieved.
  • Oversee student discipline and foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Assist with MTSS and monitor attendance to identify interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate with GOAL Social Emotional Team to connect students to resources.

Verify resolution of ticket and communicate with students.Academic SupportFacilitate students working with their teachers for academic learning and growth.Facilitate student access to accommodations as needed.Social Emotional SupportFacilitate student access to identified social emotional support staff as needed.Provide a caring and inclusive environment.AssessmentsChampion GOAL's culture of assessment by ensuring student participation and proctoring throughout the year.
