Job summary

Performance Academies is seeking a dedicated Academic Coach in Columbus to lead instructional coaching and improve classroom instruction. You will partner with teachers to support planning, observations, and feedback, and help align curriculum with Ohio standards.

The role emphasizes data-driven instruction, professional development, and collaborative leadership to build a strong school culture focused on student growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education required.
• Minimum of five years of successful classroom teaching experience in the grade levels served.
• Valid Ohio teaching license or certification and current BCI/FBI background checks as required.
• Demonstrated experience with curriculum, instruction, assessment, and Ohio Learning Standards.
• Experience designing and facilitating professional development for adult learners.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, email, and educational technology platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional coaching to improve classroom instruction and student achievement.
• Coach teachers through planning, observations, co-teaching, and feedback.
• Support data-driven instruction and curriculum alignment across the school.
• Coordinate professional development with the Principal and staff.
