Job summary

Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ is seeking an academic/clinical faculty member in the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine (AZCOM).

This role combines 0.4 FTE teaching responsibilities in the Department of Osteopathic Family and Community Medicine, including curriculum development, lectures, standardized patient testing, OSCEs, and student mentoring, with 0.6 FTE clinical practice in the MWU Multispecialty Clinic.

Qualifications

• Arizona state osteopathic medical license with no restrictions
• DEA license
• Board certification or eligibility for AOA or ABMS certification
• Able to obtain malpractice insurance

Responsibilities

• Teaching: participate in curricular planning and faculty retreats; develop, implement, and assess curriculum; teach clinical lectures; precept in MWU multispecialty clinic; assist with training for affiliated GME programs; develop standardized patient cases; proctor and score Osteopathic Standardized Patient Examinations; assist in remediation for COMLEX-USA; recruitment and site visits; faculty development and preceptors training; mentor OMM Scholars and ONMM Residents if NMM-certified.
