Job summary

The National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculty seeks an Academic Anesthesiologist and a Non-Academic Anesthesiologist. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing anesthesia in various settings, participating in clinical education and scholarly activities. Qualifications include MD/DO, California Medical License, and experience in teaching medical students. Preferred qualifications include experience in EMR documentation. This position is based in Sacramento, California.

Qualifications

• 50 hours of CME in the last two years required.
• DEA license or ability to obtain one.
• Experience documenting anesthetics and procedures in the EMR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide general, regional, and ambulatory anesthesia.
• Participate in the clinical education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Engage in scholarly or creative activities.

Skills

Experience performing functions as an anesthesiologist

Experience teaching medical students and/or residents

Ability to work cooperatively and collegially

Education

MD/DO, graduation from an ACGME approved residency program

California Medical License

ABA board certification or eligibility
