Creighton University Medical Center CHI Health seeks an academic Chief of Thoracic Surgery to lead clinical, research, and educational activities in a dynamic, teaching-focused environment. The role emphasizes building an integrated thoracic oncology program and advancing minimally invasive and robotic thoracic procedures.

The successful candidate will educate residents and medical students, conduct collaborative research with Creighton University School of Medicine, and report to the Surgery

Qualifications

• Board-certified in thoracic surgery.

Responsibilities

• Educate Creighton University's surgical residents and medical students.
• Conduct clinical research in collaboration with scientists within Common Spirit Health and Creighton University School of Medicine.
• Lead an integrated thoracic oncology program.
• Collaborate with foregut/minimally invasive surgery and pulmonary medicine teams.
• Report to the Chair of Surgery and CHI Director of Surgery.
• Oversee robotic thoracic procedures and program development.
