Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin seeks a board-certified or board-eligible Adult Cardiothoracic Intensivist to join the CVSICU team. The successful candidate will deliver expert postoperative critical care to adults undergoing complex cardiovascular and thoracic procedures.

This role offers opportunities for multidisciplinary collaboration, teaching medical students and residents, and scholarly activity within a growing academic department in a vibrant Austin health

Qualifikationen

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Board certified or eligible in critical care medicine (anesthesiology, internal medicine, or surgery-based pathway).
• Fellowship training in critical care medicine.

Aufgaben

• Deliver expert care to critically ill cardiovascular and thoracic surgical patients in the CVSICU.
• Collaborate closely with surgical and critical care teams in a multidisciplinary, team-based model.
• Participate in bedside teaching, simulation, and didactics for medical students, residents, and advanced practice providers.
• Engage in research and scholarly activity (clinical, translational, health services, or basic science).
• Contribute to departmental governance, academic programming, and quality improvement initiatives.
