Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in Camden, NJ, seeks an anesthesiologist to provide comprehensive perioperative anesthesia care across general, regional, and monitoring modalities. The role includes clinical teaching of residents and students, and responding to emergencies with airway management and resuscitation.

The successful candidate will be board eligible or board certified in Anesthesiology, hold a valid New Jersey medical license with CDS and DEA, and maintain BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Board eligible or Board certified as an Anesthesiologist (ABA or AOA).
• Requires NJ medical license with CDS and DEA.
• BLS, ACLS, and/or PALS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Administer or supervise anesthesia for all procedures.
• Provide general, regional, local and monitored anesthesia care with induction and emergence.
• Care for neonatal to geriatric patients and adjust plans as needed.
• Conduct clinical teaching to residents, medical students and other staff.
• Respond to emergencies with airway management and resuscitation.
• Review patient charts and tailor anesthetic plans to findings.
• Apply noninvasive and invasive monitoring to assess patient status.
• Comply with department policies and mandatory education requirements.
• Willing to work off hours for emergencies and participate in research.
