Job summary

Columbia Basin College is seeking an Academic Advisor – Tutor Coordinator to provide academic advising, coordinate tutoring services, and support college readiness programming for Upward Bound participants.

This grant-funded, full-time position develops individualized educational plans, supervises hourly staff, coordinates student workshops, and collaborates with schools and community partners to advance student access and success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience in education, counseling, or academic advising.
• Possession of a valid U.S. driver's license or ability to obtain one before date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic advising and support to Upward Bound students.
• Coordinate tutoring services and train part-time tutors.
• Develop individualized educational plans and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with schools and community partners to align programming.
• Maintain program records and track participant outcomes.
• Assist with admissions, college readiness, and financial aid guidance.
• Administer workshops and activities related to grant objectives.
• Supervise staff during summer components and events.
