Job summary

UTHealth Houston's McGovern Medical School is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible diagnostic abdominal radiologist for a faculty position in the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Imaging. The role supports imaging services at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, Harris Health LBJ Hospital, and outpatient centers.

The candidate will read and interpret radiology studies across modalities, contribute to protocol development, supervise residents, fellows and medical students, and

Qualifications

• Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program (or equivalent).
• Fellowship training in Abdominal Radiology.
• ABR certified or ABR eligible.
• Texas Medical License or eligible to obtain a faculty temporary license.

Responsibilities

• Providing, reading, and interpreting diagnostic services including radiography, fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, sonography, and PET, plus limited procedures.
• Fostering a culture of learning and growth and driving innovation within the section.
• Create and implement new or revised protocols to enhance safety and image quality.
• Assess fluoroscopy protocols for abdominal imaging focusing on patient safety, image quality, and efficiency.
• Teaching residents, fellows, and medical students in radiology.
• Participate in consultations at the reading room and tumor board.

Education

Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program (or equivalent)

Fellowship training in Abdominal Radiology
