General Dynamics NASSCO is seeking a skilled abrasive blasting technician to prepare ship surfaces at heights and in confined spaces. You will operate blast gear, establish containment, and ensure surfaces meet project cleanliness standards for coating.

The role requires SSPC C-7 certification or equivalent experience, along with the ability to work on ships, in blast facilities, and in varying conditions. Competitive benefits and stability offered.

Competenze

• One to two years experience in abrasive blasting or SSPC C-7 certification.
• Knowledgeable in surface preparation procedures.
• Able to set up and use abrasive blast gear and equipment.
• Able to operate high-reaching equipment and work at heights or in confined spaces.

Mansioni

• Install protective masking and containment systems.
• Set up and operate abrasive blast equipment.
• Perform abrasive blast surface preparation to required cleanliness.
• Set up, operate, and maintain dust collection systems.
