Job summary

Epic Piping is seeking a Blaster to join the Paint team. You’ll work on a wide range of projects on a national and global scale, starting from entry to experienced levels.

The role involves abrasive blasting, masking, operating spray equipment, and preparing surfaces for finishing. A High School Diploma or GED and 1–2 years of field experience are preferred; training and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED completed.
• 1–2 years' experience in blasting or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Abrades surfaces with abrasive-blasting equipment to remove scale, paint, rust, and dirt.
• Mask areas to protect from abrasion.
• Regulate pressure and composition of abrasive through nozzle.
• Operate equipment directing blast of abrasive-laden air/liquids.
• Examine finished parts for specifications adherence.
• Set up and dismantle scaffolding and temporary structures as needed.
• Prepare sites and maintain tools and equipment.
• Read plans and specifications to guide work activities.
• Spray materials and apply coatings as required.
