A leading teen retail company in Atlanta is seeking a Co-Manager to assist the Store Manager with hiring, training, and managing store personnel. Qualifications

• Prior retail management experience preferred.
• 6–12 months retail sales experience required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Desire to succeed in fast-paced retail environment.
• Willingness to learn and complete training programs.
• Completion of training leading to Co-Manager or equivalent.
• Ability to work 45 hours per week, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to climb, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Stand for long periods of time.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with recruiting and hiring.
• Meet and exceed sales goals.
• Provide coaching and feedback to employees.
• Provide feedback, coaching, and accountability to all employees by enforcing policies.
• Ensure company initiatives are implemented per direction.
• Recognize talented staff and develop them for growth within the company.
• Supervise and manage daily store operations in the absence of Store Manager and TM Training.
• Supervise Loss Prevention practices in the absence of Store Manager and TM Training.
• Communicate store needs to Store Manager and TM Training.
• Resolve customer issues and provide a fun, full-service experience.
• Complete bank deposits.
• Understand and demonstrate Journeys culture to the team.

Job Summary

To assist Store Manager and Manager In Training with recruiting, hiring, training, and managing store personnel to achieve store and personal sales goals, control expenses, and to protect company assets.

Essential Job Functions

• Meet and exceed store and personal sales goals and standards of performance
• Assist in recruiting and hiring of high caliber employees with in‑store needs
• Assist in training and developing a successful sales team
• Provide feedback, coaching, and accountability to all employees by enforcing all company policies and practices
• Ensure that all company initiatives are properly implemented and to the standard of the company direction
• Recognize talented staff and develop them for growth within the company
• Supervise and manage all aspects of daily store operations in Store Manager and Manager In Training’s absence
• Supervise and manage all aspects of Loss Prevention practices in Store Manager and Manager In Training’s absence
• Effectively communicate all store needs to Store Manager and Manager In Training
• Resolve customer issues effectivelyProvide a fun, full service experience to all customers
• Complete bank deposits
• Understand the Journeys culture and demonstrate it to the team

Job Requirements
