Qualifications

• Current USCG Merchant Mariner document.
• STCW 95 endorsements: Basic Training, VPDSD, and Tanker operations as required.
• Tankerman endorsement: Tankerman Assist or Tankerman PIC prior to joining.
• USCG/STCW Medical Certificate valid.
• TWIC and passport valid for travel and entry.

Responsibilities

• Performs Helmsman duties under orders from Deck Watch Officer or Master.
• Stands Lookout watches and monitors safety
• Stands hose and gangway watches during cargo transfers
• Assists Deck Officer during loading and discharging operations
• Performs deck maintenance and other seamen duties under Bosun/Chief Mate
• Active participant in monthly safety meetings and emergency response drills
