Truist Financial Corporation is seeking an experienced professional for the ABL Structuring team to underwrite, structure, and close asset-based lending transactions in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires deep quantitative and qualitative analysis to support balance sheet commitments and distribution risk decisions, with mentoring duties for junior staff and collaboration across legal, risk, and originations teams.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required; MBA preferred for higher impact.
• Licenses: Series 79 or 6.
• 7–11 years of related work experience in banking or finance.
• Strong financial analysis and modeling capabilities.
• Ability to distill complex data into concise issues and decisions.
• Proven teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and close ABL transactions and contribute independent structuring ideas.
• Mentor, coach, and develop junior talent.
• Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis to assess transaction risk.
• Negotiate basic legal documents and ensure risk policy compliance.

The ABL Structuring team structures, underwrites and closes asset-based lending transactions. Requires in depth quantitative and qualitative analysis to obtain Truist's balance sheet commitment as well as supporting distribution risk decisions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• 1. Underwrite and close ABL transactions; Begin to exhibit independent structuring thoughts


• 2. Mentor, coach and develop junior talent.


• 3. Demonstrate thorough qualitative and quantitative analysis; identify, quantify, and prioritize transaction risk.


• 4. Negotiate basic legal documents.


• 5. Comply with risk policies and procedures.


• 6. Work with originations, portfolio management, legal, compliance and risk partners to facilitate seamless execution.


• 7. Demonstrate Truist culture and values.

Required Qualifications

• 1. BA/BS degree


• 2. Licenses: Series 79 or 6


• 33. 7-11 years of related work experience


• 4. Strong technical skills, (including financial analysis, modeling,)


• 5. Demonstrated analytical skills - ability to distill complex data into concise and relevant issues.


• 6. Strong interpersonal skills which foster teamwork, trust and accountability


• 7. Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functional areas to facilitate execution

Preferred Qualifications

• 1. MBA degree, with a Finance focus


• 2. Capital markets or other product structuring/underwriting experience

The annual base salary for this position is $175,000
