The Data Entry Operator II is responsible for operating alphanumeric, keyboard-controlled data entry devices such as computers, magnetic tape, or disc encoders to transcribe data into a format suitable for computer processing.
Operates keyboard-controlled data entry devices to transcribe data, requiring skill in keyboard operation and understanding of transcribing procedures and equipment. Uses experience and judgment to select procedures, interpret, and code data from various documentation sources. May perform routine tasks of Data Entry Operator I occasionally.
