Job summary

Moderna Therapeutics is seeking an SAP BTP Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable SAP solutions across ABAP, SAP BTP, Fiori/UI5, with a focus on clean-core and side-by-side extensions. You will implement advanced ABAP components, APIs, and integrations to enable enterprise capabilities.

This role emphasizes hands-on development, collaboration with architects and functional teams, and the delivery of AI-enabled SAP solutions with robust governance and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT, Engineering, CS, or related field.
• 5+ years of SAP development experience, with 3+ years in SAP BTP development and extensibility.
• Strong ABAP experience including RICEFW objects, OO-ABAP, enhancements, APIs, interfaces, workflows, forms, and debugging in S/4HANA.
• Proven experience designing and developing SAP Fiori/SAPUI5 apps with responsive UX.
• Deep knowledge of SAP BTP services: BAS, HANA Cloud, Integration Suite, Workflow, Event Mesh, RAP, CAP, and extensions.
• Experience with SAP AI capabilities (Joule, AI Core, Launchpad, Generative AI Hub) and governance considerations.
• Understanding of integration patterns across SAP and non-SAP platforms (APIs, middleware, event-driven).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; track record in technical delivery with cross-functional teams.
• FDA-regulated environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support SAP solutions across ABAP, BTP, Fiori/UI5, RAP, CAP.
• Contribute to clean-core and side-by-side extension strategies and best practices.
• Develop advanced ABAP objects including reports, interfaces, enhancements, APIs, workflows, forms, and BAPIs.
• Build SAP BTP apps using BAS, HANA Cloud, Integration Suite, Workflow, and Event Mesh.
• Create SAP Fiori/UI5 apps delivering scalable, user-friendly experiences.
• Collaborate with architects, functional teams, and stakeholders to translate requirements.
• Support testing, deployment readiness, and production handover; ensure code quality.
• Troubleshoot S/4HANA/BTP issues; perform root cause analysis; guide teams.
• Document technical designs and decisions; ensure governance and security.
