Job description

Ready Set Connect is seeking dedicated individuals to join us as an ABA Therapist. In this role, you will provide direct, one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children with autism spectrum disorder and related developmental needs. Under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the ABA Therapist implements individualized treatment plans to support skill acquisition, reduce maladaptive behaviors, and promote independence across educational and social settings.

Behavior Intervention Implementation
  • Deliver1:1 AppliedBehavior Analysis (ABA) therapy incenter-based and school-based settings.
  • Follow and implement individualized behavior intervention plans designedby the BCBA.
  • Use evidence-based strategies to teach communication, social, and daily livingskills.
  • Address and manage challenging behaviors usingappropriate ABAand safety caretechniques.
Data Collection and Documentation** **
  • Record accurate and detailed data on client progress and behavior during sessions.
  • Maintain thorough and organized session notes.
  • Report any concerns or changes in client behavior to the supervising BCBA promptly.
Collaboration and Communication** **
  • Work closely with BCBAs, teachers, school staff, and families to ensure consistency and effectiveness of interventions.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professionaldevelopment.
  • Act as a liaison between the center, school staff, and families, fostering positive relationships.
Environmental Preparation** **
  • Set up andmaintaintherapy materials and environments to supportsuccessful sessions.
  • Adapt materials and teaching approaches to align with the needs of individualclients.
Compliance
  • Adhere to ethical standards outlined by the Behavior Analyst CertificationBoard (BACB).
  • Follow organizational policies, school policies, and all relevant laws andregulations.
  • Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Experience working with children with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or behavioral challenges (preferred).

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to keep students safe from themselves and others and, in some cases, may need to implement CPI (therapeutic holds) procedures
  • Must be able to remove oneself from potentially harmful situations and, in some cases, be able to lift a child
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and move throughout the workday
  • Ability to lift (at least 50-65 pounds), assist, and/or physically support students, which may include lifting or guiding students of varying sizes
  • Ability to physically intervene when required to ensure safety (per CPI training)
  • Ability to remove oneself and/or others from unsafe situations quickly
  • Ability to maintain attention and focus in a dynamic, high-stimulation environment
  • Ability to multi-task and shift priorities quicklyAbility to exercise sound judgment and decision-making, particularly in high-pressure or safety-sensitive situations
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and maintain professional relationships
  • Ability to perform duties under stress, including during behavioral escalations
Working Conditions
  • ABA Therapists will berequiredto work in the school and center locations,30-35 hoursper week, to meet the billable expectation of 30-35 billable hours per week.
  • While working in theschools, maintaining professionalism torepresentthe values of RSC is imperative
  • ABA Therapists willberequiredto work a minimum of one Saturday or Sunday per month from 8:45 am to 12:15pm.
  • Requires physical activity, including sitting, standing, and engaging in play-based interactions.
  • Travel may berequiredbetween centersand school locations.
Typical Working Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm (Flexible working hours 7:45am-5:15pm, plus one Saturday or Sunday, from 8:45am-12:15pm, per month)
