Job summary

Pediatrics Plus is seeking ABA Student Analysts to gain hands-on experience in direct service delivery as an RBT while completing fieldwork for BCBA certification. Work with children with autism and developmental disabilities under BCBA supervision.

This role includes data collection, development of treatment plans, and collaboration with families across home, clinic, and community settings. Starts at $17.00/hr and is full-time.

Qualifications

  • RBT certification is required.
  • Current graduate student in an ABA program pursuing BCBA.
  • Experience with data collection and progress notes preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct FBAs, preference assessments, and other assessments under a BCBA.
  • Assist in developing and modifying behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and goals.
  • Collect, analyze data, and prepare reports; adjust plans as needed.
  • Attend supervision meetings with a BCBA; develop professional competencies.
  • Maintain accurate client records and progress notes per policy.
  • Provide one-on-one behavioral interventions in home, clinic, and community settings.
  • Implement skill-building and behavior-reduction programs per ITP.
  • Collaborate with families to generalize skills across settings.
  • Adhere to BACB ethics and maintain confidentiality.

What you will do:

The ABA Student Analyst will provide an unique opportunity for a graduate student pursuing certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to gain hands‑on experience in both direct service delivery as an RBT and in the fieldwork required for BCBA certification. The individual will work directly with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities while simultaneously engaging in required fieldwork hours under the supervision of a licensed BCBA. This dual role offers valuable experience in both practical behavior intervention and the application of ABA principles to gain skills needed for an entry‑level BCBA.

  • Assist in conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs), preference assessments, and other relevant assessments under the guidance of a BCBA.
  • Participate in the development and modification of behavior intervention plans (BIPs), treatment goals, and individualized service plans, ensuring they align with client needs and evidence‑based practices under the supervision of the BCBA.
  • Collect, record, and analyze data related to client behaviors, treatment progress, and session outcomes. Prepare data reports and assist in modifying treatment plans based on data analysis.
  • Attend regular clinical supervision meetings with a BCBA or clinical supervisor to review client progress, receive feedback, and develop professional competencies required for BCBA certification.
  • Assist in case documentation by maintaining detailed and accurate client records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and other documentation in accordance with company policies and ethical guidelines.
  • Provide one‑on‑one direct behavioral intervention to clients in home, clinic, and/or community settings. Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and training programs as designed by the BCBA.
  • Implement skill‑building programs designed to teach clients new skills, including communication, social, academic, and daily living skills according to the Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP) for skill acquisition.
  • Implement behavior reduction strategies, including reinforcement, prompting, and other interventions to reduce challenging behaviors according to the Individualized Treatment Plan (ITP).
  • Accurately collect data on client behaviors, progress, and skill acquisition during therapy sessions. Ensure data is taken in real‑time and is consistent with the goals outlined in treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with family members, caregivers, and other team members to ensure consistency and generalization of skills across settings. Provide guidance to families regarding behavior management strategies and client progress.
  • Adhere to the ethical guidelines outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and maintain professionalism in all interactions with clients, families, and team members.
  • Represent the program to parents, visitors, and the public in a positive way.
  • Ensure confidentiality of children and employee information. Respond to internal and external requests for information according to clinic policy.
  • Participate in one‑on‑one meetings with leader.
  • Comply with BACB’s ethics requirements.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Current certification of Registered Behavior Technician through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Current graduate student within an ABA program seeking certification as a Board‑Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for a minimum of 6 months.

  • Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to accurately communicate information and ideas so others will understand through sight and hearing. The employee is regularly required to move including walking, running, jumping, and sitting. The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, lift, reach, and feel. The employee is frequently required to stand and stoop, twist, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee must be comfortable around standard farm animals, including minimal allergies to touching, smelling, feeding, and engaging with animals.
