Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is seeking multiple behavior technicians to support individuals on the autism spectrum in 1:1 in-home settings across El Monte, Covina, Pasadena, Alhambra and surrounding areas. We welcome entry level, mid-level and experienced caregivers to apply and grow with our team.

Responsibilities include providing one-to-one behavior intervention, data collection, and assisting with daily activities. We offer training, flexible schedules, and ongoing supervision by a BCBA.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with individuals with special needs.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous experience in educational or healthcare setting preferred.
• At least one year of experience with children/adults with special needs who display challenging or aggressive behaviors.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one-behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges.
• Provides/assists with daily program activities in self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior and crisis intervention.
• Assist client with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, preparation and feeding of meals, dressing and undressing, ambulation and other activities as needed.
• Collect and document data of the behaviors and goals outlined in the Behavior Support Plan.
